DCH Specific Classes
Electrical Systems Modelling
DCH has introduced some new classes in the Electrical systems modelling space.
Electrical Meter Equipment Subclasses
Electrical_Utility_Meter
A meter between the electrical utility's grid and the customer's facility. Imported energy flows from the utility to facility. Parent Class(es): Electrical_Meter
Electrical_Generation_Meter
An electrical meter that is metering electrical generation (an Inverter). Parent Class(es): Electrical_Meter
Electrical_Storage_Meter
An electrical meter that is metering electrical storage (a Battery). Parent Class(es): Electrical_Meter
Site_Electrical_Meter
An electrical meter that is electrically closest to the utility point-of-connection, and which supplies a site and all of its buildings. Parent Class(es): Electrical_Meter
Solar_Inverter
A device that changes direct current from PV panel(s) into alternating current. Parent Class(es): Inverter
Battery_Inverter_Charger
A device that charges batteries or converts battery direct current into alternating current. Parent Class(es): Inverter
AC_Battery
A battery with integrated Battery_Inverter_Charger. Parent Class(es): Battery_Inverter_Charger AND Battery
Hybrid_Inverter
A combined Solar_Inverter and Battery_Inverter_Charger. Parent Class(es): Solar_Inverter AND Battery_Inverter_Charger
Electrical_Circuit
An Electrical_Equipment subclass used to represent connections on a single-line diagram (e.g. an electrical node, line, cable, bus, riser, or any unspecified combination of loads). Parent Class(es): Electrical_Equipment
Electrical Sensor Point Classes
Electrical_Energy_Sensor
A sensor that measures electrical energy. Parent Class(es): Energy_Sensor
Note BRICK 1.2.1 has an Electrical_Power_Sensor class, so DCH introduced an Electrical_Energy_Sensor class. However, BRICK 1.3 has dropped support of Electrical_Power_Sensor and instead uses Electric_Power_Sensor, and BRICK 1.3 also introduced Electric_Energy_Sensor. Use of Electrical_Power_Sensor and Electrical_Energy_Sensor in DCH will require a migration to use the 'Electric' named versions of the classes when DCH transitions to support BRICK 1.3.
