JSON Message Creation and Queuing
This section describes generating the JSON messages (although formatting the messages are the a following section). In the Tridium Jace, this is via the JsonToolkit module. Note that the JsonToolkit is (at time of writing) not included with the standard software modules included with the Jace and must be purchased separately as a once off purchase. The JsonToolkit also requires an active Service Maintenance Agreement (SMA) for the host Jace, and this is an ongoing cost.
This section describes setting up a near real time export of points (e.g. generally at intervals between 5 and 15 minutes). It is possible to configure alternative upload schedules such as a daily upload of the day’s points using the history schema (refer history export section), however this may cause issues for applications that use the near real time data to determine load shedding and demand reduction controls.
NOTE: There is an important step prior to configuring the JSON template/Schema on where it is recommended to disable the MQTT connection. DO NOT forget to disable the connection. Disable it at this point if desired.
