Confirm DCH Datastreams are Populating

This check confirms that DCH is subscribing and parsing the MQTT messages arriving at the broker and is writing point data to the data streams.

1. Allow the messages to continue being published and received by the broker for 30min.

2. Access the DCH portal at https://www.dataclearinghouse.org/

3. Login using your DCH username and password.

4. On the left hand side navigation bar, select Data > Data sources

5. Find you data source by either scrolling down through the list of your accessible data sources, or enter in search terms of the data source name in filter field.

1. The search window will populate with the datastreams for that data source. Scroll down and select a number of datastreams and check they are being populated with recent data.

2. If you have added new points to a pre-existing data source, these points can be quickly found using the Data Explorer.

3. In DCH home page left hand side navigation bar, select Data > Data Explorer.

4. Type in the point name in the “Search by ID” field. You can use * as a wildcard. e.g. to find data stream

dsapi-thick-gusty-rest-Newcastle.NewcastleEnergyCentreB001.E1_01_MS1.RealEnergyImport , you can type gusty*E1*01*EnergyI into the search field and it will find all datastreams with the text strings gusty and E1 and 01 and EnergyI.

5. Click on the data stream and check that it is being populated with recent data.
