Before you continue, make sure you have read the Core Docs and have created the site and building you are onboarding. Also make sure you have created a data source and you have the username and password of that data source (unless you are onboarding without MQTT).
Current broker address is broker.dataclearinghouse.org. Legacy systems (setup prior to October 2024) used broker2.dataclearinghouse.org. Systems using broker2 should be updated when the opportunity arises.
The main steps to be followed for the onboarding process are below and are described in more detail in the sections of this document:

Check network will allow connection between the gateway and the DCH MQTT broker.

Identify the DCH data source username and password that the site data will be associated with.

Setup the MQTT publish connection to DCH (host: broker.dataclearinghouse.org
) and check connection.

Set up the MQTT topic under which the MQTT messages will be published.

Select the points in the gateway to be exported.

Configure the JSON messages with the required fields.

Check upload speed and queue sizes.

Initiate the upload.

Check the messages are arriving at the MQTT broker.

Check that the datastreams in DCH are populating with data.
